FAQ – Future Women in Tech – Dortmund

What is the goal of the "Future Women in Tech" training and event series? 
With this offer, we aim to provide women of all backgrounds with an easy entry into the digital industry. We inform about various career fields and support you on your way to the right further education. 

 

Who are the workshops and events intended for? 

Fair opportunities for everyone are important to us – we are therefore particularly looking forward to applications from women with migration backgrounds or refugee experiences. 

  

What IT skills are needed? 

We do not assume any prior IT knowledge. We aim to meet every participant where they are. 

  

How can I participate? 

Here (link to follow) you will find all events. You can then register for free via the respective event link. And subscribe to our newsletter so you don't miss any dates. 

  

What is the cost of participation? 

Participation is free of charge for you. This is made possible by funding from the Postcode Lottery. 

 

What formats are offered? 

Events in Dortmund, online workshops, networking events. More information will be available soon on our event page. 

  

When do the events take place? 

 The events will mostly take place in the mornings from May 2024 to ensure that women with children do not have to arrange childcare in parallel. 

  

What topics will be covered?  

Inform: Speakers will introduce you to various digital career profiles, such as web development, online marketing, or UX design. 
Inspire: You will meet women in technical professions and learn about their career paths. 
Learn: In workshops, you will learn specific skills that belong to a digital profession. 
Orient: Here you will find out what further education opportunities are available to learn a digital profession. 

  

Who are the trainers and speakers? 

A great mix of various inspiring women who we will be introducing here soon. 

  

What do I need to participate in the online events? 

The online events take place via Zoom. You can easily participate with a laptop or mobile phone using the link (which you will find on the respective event page).
